The 2024 ILCA Asian Open Championship will be held in Haikou, Hainan, China 

The race office is located at the Haikou National Sailboat Base, 114 Binhai Blvd, Xiuying District, Haikou,

Hainan, China, 570314.

The Organising Authority is Chinese Yachting Association (the Host) & ILCA Asian.

Entry to the Championship is open to sailors who meet the criteria as per the Entry Procedure of the Notice of Race

ILCA7, ILCA6 & ILCA4 shall be raced in this event. Sailors shall submit their entry through this event site.  Total entry for this event may be restricted to 80 sailors per class.

Stage 1 –

Application for Entry will be accepted online beginning 25^th September on this site.

Stage 2 – 

Each ILCA District / National Association will review the entries from its district / nation. ILCA District / National Associations may refuse a competitor’s entry based on sailing ability, 
membership status or failure to meet other national entry requirements. Competitors will be  
notified by email when their entries are refused, and the reason for the refusal will be 
specified. 

Stage 3 – 

Offers for entries will be sent to successful competitors. Offers for entries must be accepted and paid 

by Entry Closing Date 18^th November 2024

*Only sailors from ILCA District / National Association that have paid up the 2024 District Membership Fees to ILCA will be offered entries.

Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of ILCA Asia

Coach registration & team/coach/support boats

All coach/support boats shall register on Coaches link above.

Coaches / support personnel will be required to pay a fee of USD 100 at registration on site.
The fee will include event souvenir(s), after-race snacks and all socials in the schedule.

Official Charter Providers:

A limited number of new / almost new charter boats will be available for this event by the official charter providers.

The charter boats will be supplied on a launching trolley as a hull with self-bailer, padded hiking strap, spars (composite mast top section, appropriate bottom section and a boom), centreboard and rudder in a padded foil bag, mainsheet side cleats, control line deck block fitting with blocks and control line deck cleat fitting with cleats.

Competitors shall provide their ropes, boom vang, mainsheet block with spring or similar, traveler blocks and line, sail and battens, tiller and tiller extension, outhaul and cunningham control set, and adjustment rope/shock-cord for hiking strap. Competitors may provide their own hiking strap, which must be installed by the Charter Provider.
