The 2017 Laser Standard Men's World Championship will be held in Split, Croatia.

This is a restricted entry allocated championship. Sailors wishing to enter must first complete an application form, accessible through the menu above.

Total entry for this event is limited to 150 sailors.

Charter Boats

This is a supplied boat, mandatory charter regatta. 
The boats will be supplied on a launching trolley as a hull with self-bailer, XD padded hiking strap or equivalent, spars (mast top section, appropriate bottom section and a boom), centreboard and rudder in carry bag, mainsheet side cleats, control line deck block fitting with blocks and control line deck cleat fitting with cleats.

NOTE: The Charter provider intends to supply composite top masts for use on the charter boats for this event. Availability of the composite top mast is NOT guaranteed. If the composite top masts are not available in time for the regatta, an aluminum top mast section will be provided and the sailor will be refunded the EUR €50 fee included for the composite mast.

Competitors must provide their own ropes, boom vang, mainsheet block, traveller blocks, sail, battens, tiller and tiller extension.

Charter Boat Fees:
   Optional Pre-Regatta Training (5 September – 11 September, 7 days):  EUR €395
   Regatta (12 September – 19 September, 8 days): EUR €925 [EUR €875 charter + EUR €50 for composite mast top section]
   Refundable Damage Deposit: EUR €450
   3rd Party Insurance Option – The Charter Provider is offering an on-site purchase option for coverage if you don't already have an insurance policy that meets the requirements of the NOR (at a cost of € 40).

Judge Development Opportunity

Expressions of interest are invited from sailors who are competing in the 2017 Laser Standard Men's World Championship and who may wish to be considered for appointment as member of the International Jury for the Laser Masters World Championships that immediately follow.

Interested sailors should Contact the ILCA office with a summary of any judging/protest committee experience together with any equipment inspection experience.

The successful applicant (if any) would be provided with meals and accommodation for the duration of the 2017 Laser Masters World Championships.
