The 2016 Laser 4.7 Youth World Championships will be held in Kiel, Germany.

This is a restricted entry allocated championship. Sailors wishing to enter must first complete an application form, accessible through the menu above.
Total entry for this event is limited to 400 sailors.

Charter Boats
A limited number of Laser sailboats will be made available for charter through the ILCA entry system. The charter boats will be supplied on a launching trolley as a hull with self-bailer, padded hiking strap, spars (mast top section, appropriate bottom section and a boom), GRP centreboard and rudder in carry bag, mainsheet side cleats, control line deck block fitting with blocks and control line deck cleat fitting with cleats.

Competitors must provide their own ropes, boom vang, mainsheet block, traveller blocks, sail, battens, tiller and tiller extension.

Charter Boat Fees:
   Pre-Regatta Training (25 July – 29 July, 5 days): EUR €375
   Regatta (30 July – 7 August, 8 days): EUR €850
   Refundable Damage Deposit: EUR €450


Third Party Insurance Requirement

If you don't already have the required insurance coverage to participate in this event, Safety Tool has made available a watersports insurance package that you may consider, which includes: Third Party liability insurance, Comprehensive insurance (damage to charter equipment) and Accident insurance. NOTE: This insurance is ONLY valid for sailors using a commercially chartered boat to compete and does not cover use of privately owned boats. Additional NOTE: We have been informed that due to a recent legislative change, the SafetyTool insurance program is now ONLY available to sailors whose primary residence is in the European Union. If you live outside the EU, please see the additional information below.

Coverage lasts for one year and costs €39 (EUR).
